Ian's Summer

Welcome, this an automatic blog post. It has to do with Ian's summer in Kingston, Ontario. This summer on June 28, only 3 days after school ended he headed to the Regina Airport and got on a plane to HMCS Ontario (Her Majesties Canadian Ship) Sea and Air Base. This is also home for RMC or Royal Military College. We spent most our time getting all checked in and everything else, but finally we got settled in. The first two weeks were spent running and doing circuits which are:

Run say a lap around the track, then do 50 push-ups, then a lap, then 50 sit-ups etc.

Other times we were sitting in the classroom learning refereeing skills for soccer, basketball, volleyball, and badminton. We spent time playing all of these sports. We also played water polo, and did swimming circuits which comprised of the same idea, just instead of running a lap you would swim 20 metres or however long it was. Near the end of camp we did a lot more running. We ran a circuit called the "Pleasure Dome" which was a normal lap circuit but for our lap it was around a hockey rink like the one in town here. Then it was your same things but we had to do, instead of 50, as many as we could... continuously. We also did a 10k hike that ended up turning out to be more like 13k and it wasn't really a hike because we were basically running to keep up with our leader. We did a glow stick run which was a 3k run around the base at like 11 o-clock at night so all you saw was the person in front of you with glow sticks. We did a 15k run around the base. All in all it was a fun camp and I enjoyed it. I came back and spent a week at my dad's house. Then I came back to Kamsack and hung out till school started. So ya this was my summer. :)
